Ignore or Respond
It’s 2 in the morning and the thoughts of Africa cling closer to me than the red dirt that have stained my Nike’s. I always wondered if the war in my heart is a new battle or if was just an ever present struggle I was never aware of before. I am learning that there is a choice that me must make every day.
Ignore or Respond.
It’s like that message that pops up when Microsoft word crashes on my Mac for the 5th time in a row: “Would you like to Report this error (Respond) or Ignore it.”
Before it was so easy to turn on CNN, watch the report on Somalia and let my heart click “Ignore”.
But things change once you live, eat, run, and pump water with the people of Africa.
Its 2 am and seems like now the only choice available is to Respond.
